Welcome and thanks for visiting Speak Our Language. I’m writing to you from an organic farm in the hills of Northern Portugal. My dearest passions—world literature, intercultural communication, environmental protection, and sustainable living—all make part of the same objective: constructing a better world for my own generation and for the future.
I graduated from Colorado College in 2015 with a BA in comparative literature, concentrating on translation theory. My award-winning thesis was a creative project that combined the practice of translation with historical research and theories of ethical translation in the postcolonial context.
Born with itchy feet, I’ve lived outside of my native United States for much of my adult life. Portugal is now my adopted home, and Portuguese my adopted language.
By choosing to collaborate with me, you’re choosing to benefit from my academic training, professional experience, and ethical imperatives. Fair business relationships and excellent finished products are my top priorities. I offer discount pricing for social and environmental projects.
